Do you want to print and bind your dissertation or habilitation thesis?

Then you’ve come to the right place! Our printing centre will be happy to help you with that. We have prepared some basic instructions for you so that you can handle everything without unnecessary problems. And if you need any advice, we will gladly explain everything to you.

Copyright page, cover and binding

  • In any of its forms, the ISBN and the phrase „Published by the University of Tomáš Bata in Zlín“ must not be included in the dissertation or habilitation thesis.
  • Therefore, please delete the copyright page (last page) and the generated ISBN from the template of your thesis.
  • However, please note that the abovementioned information will be included in the Doctoral thesis summary.
  • We have already prepared the cover, so attaching the exact appearance and format of the envelope is unnecessary.
  • We print the thesis in perfect binding V2.

Production

  • All the thesis data must be emailed to the following address: nakladatelstvi@utb.cz.
  • Attach the revised and approved final form of the thesis as a PDF file. Please do not adjust the file to A5 or B5 format; this will be done automatically before printing.
  • If you wish to print a selection of colour pages, please list the required page numbers (e.g., 6; 12–25; 80–122). In this case, the higher price for printing in colour applies, as listed in the price list below.
  • If a selection of colour pages is not further specified, or there is no list attached, it is assumed that printing in colour of all the colour pages of the document is requested.
  • If printing in black and white is required, it needs to be specified in the email.
  • Please include the number of copies of the documents to be printed and bound.

Price list for printing and binding

  • 1 page, black and white: 1.50 CZK including VAT
  • 1 page, color printing: 8.50 CZK including VAT (when printing in colour all colour pages of the document)
  • 1 page, color printing: 15 CZK including VAT (when printing a selection of pages in colour as requested by a clien)
  • cover including binding: 80 CZK including VAT (the price may vary according to the number of copies ordered)

Picking up finished thesis

The order is valid as soon as the payment is received, and it is ready for collection from the U13 building (door no. 166, ground floor of the building) in 3–5 working days.
