The textbook deals with the architecture design of complex and combined control information systems integrating digital and analog systems for industry. Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), which are a key part of the text, deal with mechanisms that are controlled or monitored by computer algorithms integrated into the cyber network and its users. In CPS systems, physical and software components are deeply interconnected, each working at different spatial and temporal scales, displaying different and different behaviors, and interacting with each other in a number of ways that vary with the context of events. CPS now includes intelligent networks, autonomous automotive systems, medical monitoring, process control systems, robotic systems, avionics systems, weapon systems.
